Every week, during the Farmers Market, I have been bartering my breads for other food items. Most of the time it is at the end of each market day if I have a few loaves left over but sometimes I regularly trade early in the day if there is something I really want. This past Wednesday was a crummy market day-due to the weather and lack of turn out. Remember my post last week regarding the chanterelles and the rainstorm??? Well picture that description AND the photo I posted of torrential rains times 3!!!! Yep it was THAT bad while we were trying to pack up for the night. It rained so hard, I couldn’t see and could not wipe the rain from my face fast enough.

My dear hubby was there to help pack up and told me to go sit in the truck and he would get the rest of our stuff. Awwwww!!!! How sweet!

Anyway, BEFORE the giant storm came and got us,

I realized I have to get rid of some more bread so I ran around and traded a loaf for TWO bouquets of fresh flowers, a root beer for a frozen coffee drink(earlier in the night) and two loaves plus $5 for a whole frozen, really big chicken. The rest of the bread went to Boss Brother Country Store in the morning which I am hoping sold. ๐Ÿ™‚

Saturdays market I traded a loaf for cucumbers and tomatoes, a loaf and a couple bucks for 5 pints of blueberries and got some free basil – massive amount from Whipporwill Farms!!!
