Garden progress update! A neighbor of mine recently cut down an acre or two of trees to make room for some goats. The trees had to sit awhile before being cut up and mulched and this past week they were thrown into the chipper and mulch was made, lots and lots and lots of mulch!!! I asked Lisa if she needed all of it and she told me I could have as much as I wanted, yay! Thank goodness I only took one big load because it was like a small mountain. Seriously, my hubby would have killed me if I got two loads! 🙂

So I originally thought, all of it would get shoveled into wheel barrows and dumped in the garden in the walkways around the raised boxes. HA! The garden was filled then we had to start to get creative because the mulch never ended!!!

What about the barn? I asked my hubby. Ok so I shoveled mulch into 11 wheel barrows, John moved most of them because I was pooping out. Still more mulch.

I know! Let’s move some by the blueberries and the raspberries and the new rose bush….ok let’s keep going and extend it to make a medicinal herb bed. DONE for the day. Even though the work was hard, it was well worth it for free mulch.

I have no idea how much we shoveled or moved but we STILL have more to go. I did not take a picture of the pile when it was dumped here but this is what is left.

I have to say my garden looks the best it has ever been, so happy! Anyone have any garden pictures to share? I will post them here for you. 🙂

Have a great day today!
