Ahhh….great way to end the year with groceries for alittle more than 50% off! I love to get to the register and see if the savings side of the screen will make it higher than the price I must pay. Is that weird? Does anyone else do that?
I am NOT an extreme couponer, just a very frugal shopper that does combine store sales with coupons. If I can get 10 of something then I will but no, I do not go out and get 472 bottles of soda for no reason. 🙂
Publix is my favorite store because they do double coupons, lots of buy one get one free deals and they allow you to use a store coupon with a manufacturers coupon. Just so ya know, I did not buy all junk, some snacks but mostly regular food. My bill before sales and coupons -$101.75, and AFTER – $49.32, yippee!!!!
So here is what I got for that: 1/2 gal. milk, 1 1/2 lb.chicken breasts, 1 lb.fresh salmon, ice cream, 1 lb. mozzarella cheese, raviolis, cans of tomato sauce, buttery spread – 2 pkgs, mayo, 2 lbs rice, 3 pkgs. instant potatoes, bag of kale, 12 cans veggies, baking powder, 10 lbs sugar, flour, 2 bags hershey’s kisses, cheez-its, 2 boxes frosted flakes, blackeye peas, bananas, chili mix.
With a freezer full of beef from our cow, I am all set!
Oh and I almost forgot! I went to Staples to use my Staples Rewards that would expire tonight to buy an ink cartridge and only had to pay $3.83 out of pocket. So tell me one of your great shopping trips, would love the comments!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you!
